Sailor Moon: In Search of a Star

Title: Pizza?

(Inside a house in the city of Tokyo, a girl named Serena lies in her bed 
snoring. Next to her on a bedside table is an alarm clock that is blaring at a 
deafening rate. Despite the noise, Serena sleeps like a baby until her brother, 
Sammy, sneaks in and covers her mouth and plugs her nose.)

Serena (bolting upright and exhaling): BLAAAHHHH!

Sammy: Mom says to wake up, Serena!

Serena: I'm up you little newt, you didn't have to suffocate me!

(Serena takes a swing at Sammy with a pillow but he runs out the door.)

Serena: I'm gonna kill that creep..........

(Alarm continues to blare.)

Serena:......Oh shoot! I'm gonna be late again! Gotta get my stuff.....

(After getting herself dressed and her bags packed, she rushed through her door 
and ran right into Sammy and Rini.)

Sammy: Hey watch it!

Rini: Hey, Serena! Just because you're always late and clumsy doesn't mean you 
can make us miserable! 

Serena (screaming while she is running down the stairs): Sorry you two!

(When Serena got to the bottom of the stairs, she picked up her lunch bag and 
then rushed out of her house.)

Serena (while running out the door): Thanks for lunch, Mom!

(Serena went running through the streets and met an equally late Lita.)

Serena (talking and running at the same time): Lita! I can't remember the last 
time you were late!

Lita (doing the same thing): Too bad I can't say the same for you....

(They round a corner and find Amy running to school.)

Amy (running and talking at the same time): Hey you guys!

Lita (still doing the same): Our school is just a couple more blocks!

Serena (still running): Hey Amy! Why are you so late? I can't remember the last 
time you were late!

Amy: Too bad I can't......

Serena: Stop right there!

Amy (still running): I wanted to study for extra credit so I stayed about an 
hour past my usual bedtime!

Serena (still running): What person in their right mind would stay up to study 
for extra credit!?

Amy (still running): Well you should try it too! You definitely could use some 
for yourself!

Serena (still running): Nah....I'll just stick to my usual study habits! 

Lita (still running): And those would be what?

(They finally make it to school and rush into Ms. Haruna's class.)

Ms. Haruna (looking at clock): Wow Serena, you made it on time, and it looks 
like Lita's back! I hope you're feeling better!

Lita (nervous): Thanks, Ms. H. (thinking): Let's just hope she doesn't hug me.

(Ms. Haruna then plops down a pile of homework on Lita's desk.)

Ms. Haruna: These are the assignments you missed.

(Lita tries to find a way to see around the monstrous pile of homework and then 
somehow slides the books and assignments into her bag. Back in the Negaverse, 
Jerlp and Kinet were in Professor Ginea's laboratory.)

Jerlp: Have you had time to modify the creatures, Ginea?

Ginea: Yes. They will now be able to take more attacks from the Scouts and 
function more properly.

Jerlp: Good.

Kinet: And how is work on Number-1 going?

Ginea: Excellent. It has surpassed it's original abilities. The most interesting 
thing is that it seems to be able to teach itself new tricks every now and then. 
I'm afraid we may have to dispose of it sooner or later before the situation 
gets out of control.

Jerlp: Is there any chance of the energy spring replenishing itself?

Ginea: No. It seems that it turned itself off, somehow. It will take a miracle 
to get it to flow again.

Jerlp: I see.

Kinet: When will we put the creatures into action? We should also use Number-1 
since we may have to get rid of it.

Jerlp: I think we will delay that for now. I will be leaving you in charge here, 
Kinet.....I have matters to attend to. I do not want any actions against Earth 
or the Sailor Scouts while I am gone.

Kinet: Of course.

(Back on Earth school just got out. Amy, Serena, and Lita are walking out of the 
school.)

Lita: Ah.....life on the outside of a hospital!

Amy: It's a good thing the school didn't close down and they reopened so soon!

Serena: Yeah. I guess we have our "friends" at the Negaverse to thank for that. 
At least they did something useful for a change. Well, what are we gonna do? 
We've got all weekend to kill.

Lita: Well, we could always go to the mall.

Serena: Alright! I love the mall! To me it's one of those places you could visit 
a million times and still find something to do! 

Amy: That sounds good. We'll meet there in an hour.

Serena and Lita: Right.

(Then the three make a mad dash to their homes. Back at Serena's house......)

Serena (coming right through the door, throwing her bags onto the floor and 
dashing up to her room): MOM! I'M HOME!! 

(Inside her room she then gets a change of clothes and then walks over to her 
small piggy bank.)

Serena (thinking): Ah, my piggy bank. It seems like I've had this forever. I 
wonder if I should break it........

(After tough consideration Serena smashes it with a geode that she got from 
Amy.)

Serena (sifting through money): Hmm, not enough. I'll ask dad.

(After clearing the remains of her piggy bank and getting the leftover cash she 
rushed down to the family den. There was her father reading the newspaper. 
Serena tapped him on the shoulder.)

Serena: Dad, can I borrow a couple bucks to go to the mall with Lita and Amy?

Serena's Dad (scrounging through pockets for money): Hmm........well alright, 
but some day you're going to pay me back, right?

Serena: Right! (snatches money) Thanks dad!

(Serena then gives her dad a kiss but before Serena got out of the door her 
mother stopped her.)

Serena: Yes?

Mom: Serena, your father, Sammy, Rini and I are going to Grandma and Grandpa's 
house tonight . The security system has not been installed yet and the guys are 
coming tomorrow morning, so I'll need you to stay here, okay. 

Serena (thinking while rubbing her hands together): Sleep over party, hehehehe.

Mom (reading Serena's mind): You can have some of your friends over if you like, 
just don't make a mess.

Serena: Alright! 

(Serena then darts out of her house and down the street towards the mall. At the 
mall Serena met up with Amy and Lita.)

Serena: Hey, you guys! Guess what just happened!

Lita and Amy: What?

Serena: My entire family is leaving tonight and I'm having a sleep over!

Lita and Amy: Alright!

Serena: After we're done shopping we'll go back to my house and call the others.

(The three then walk into a clothing store. Suddenly, an alarm goes off in a 
jewelry store next to the store the girls are in. They rush out of the store and 
Serena, being the klutz she is, runs into a man carrying a gun and a bag filled 
with jewelry. They both fall over and the jewels go flying everywhere. The mall 
security comes dashing in and apprehends the thief.)

Serena (confused): Huh? What happened?

Mall Guard 1: This man here has been hitting stores all over Tokyo. Thanks to 
you we got him.

(The thief gives Serena a menacing glare.)

Serena (still confused but playing along): Oh....yeah....well....I try to help 
every chance I get...heh.

Thief: I'll get you, girl.....

(The security cops then cart the man away.)

Lita: That was amazing Serena!

Amy: That's something we don't see every day.

(The jewelry store owner then comes out.)

Shopkeeper: I thank you, Ms.! In honor of saving my shop, you deserve this!

(The man hands Serena some money. Quite a large sum by the look of it.)

Serena: For me?

Shopkeeper: Of course.

Serena: Thank you very much.

Shopkeeper: No, thank you.

(The girls then walk off and resume their shopping, Serena, looking quite glum.)

Serena: Was it just me, or did that guy act like he was out to get me, after I 
accidentally caught him?

Amy: I'm sure it's nothing. The police have him now, after all.

Lita: Don't fret about it, you'll be fine. Let's go tell Raye and the others.

(At Cherry Hill Temple's pond area, all of the five girls and the two cats were 
talking.)

Raye: That can't be true; meatball head Serena, foiling a thief?

Lita: It's like you had to be there to believe it. 

Mina: Weird.

Raye: Sometimes I think you live to amaze, Serena, you can barely walk and chew 
gum at the same time.

Serena: Oh, I forgot to tell you guys that my parents and Rini and Sammy are 
going to my grandparent's house tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to 
sleep over?

Lita: Well, I could, I mean I would like to get out of my apartment for awhile.

Mina: I'll have to check with my folks. 

Amy: Same with me.

Raye: Let's just hope Grandpa lets me.

Serena: Alright, just call me later.

(Serena then walks off. On the way back to the house Serena passes by the police 
station. A white car is parked out front and the thief Serena caught got into 
the driver's seat and speeds away.)

Serena (nervous): That guy's on the loose again...somehow. I gotta get home.

(Serena runs as fast as she can all the way home.)

Serena (while running): I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead.......

(Serena finally gets home and slams the door behind her.)

Serena: Mom! I'm home! 

Serena's Mom: Hi, honey! 

(Serena's dad comes in.)

Serena's Dad: I can't believe you bagged that crook. 

Serena: Huh? You heard about that!? How?

(Serena's dad flips on the TV.)

Newscaster: Today a fourteen year old girl helped catch the infamous crook, 
Lethal Larry outside of Brook's Jewels..........

(Dad flips off the TV.)

Sammy: Nice job, Serena!

Serena (cracking up): Nice job? Nice job? That guy's gonna kill me!

(Serena grabs Sammy by the shirt and starts shaking him.)

Serena's Mother: Get a hold of yourself, Serena! He doesn't even know where you 
live and he's probably in some "maximum security prison" right now.

Serena (on brink of collapse): Prison...yeah...that's right.....I'll be in my 
room......

(Serena runs up to her room and picks up the phone and frantically dials a 
number.)

Serena: Lita? Please say you can come over tonight!? 

Lita: Sure, why wouldn't I?

Serena: Okay...good. 

Lita: What's the matter?

Serena: Remember that guy I caught today...HE'S LOOSE!

Lita: What!?

Serena: HE'S LOOSE!!!!! Somebody let him out on bail or something!

Lita: Don't worry about it. He's not gonna waste his time maniacally hunting 
down a fourteen year old girl who.....nevermind.

Serena: I gotta call the others...bye.

(Serena hangs up. The door to Serena's room slowly opens with a creak.)

Serena (holding the phone as a weapon and thinking to herself): That crook's not 
getting Serena...no, no, no, not me......

(Serena's mom walks in.)

Serena's mom: We're leaving now, honey.

Serena: Okay....bye.

(Serena's mom leaves and she hears everybody walk out the front door and it 
shuts with a slam. Luna comes in and Serena begins constructing a barricade on 
her door with furniture and other objects.)

Luna (listening ou window): Serena, someone's knocking at the door. 

(Serena looks up with stark terror on her face.)

Serena: Okay, Luna. The only way I'm gonna beat this is if I settle it with this 
guy once and for all! Hey, I am Sailor Moon! I've beaten worse baddies than 
this! Let's go!

Luna: That's the spirit!

(After clearing the barricade, they head downstairs. Downstairs there is a loud 
thumping noise which is someone banging on the door. Serena casually flings open 
the door.)

Serena: Alright, you.....

(Outside the door is Lita, Amy, Mina, and Raye.)

Girls: Hey, Serena.

(They have sleeping bags in their hands.)

Serena: Get in here, quick!

(Serena ushers the girls in.)

Raye: What's the matter, Serena?

Serena: That guy I caught is after me!

Amy: Are you sure?

Serena: I'm positive! I saw him outside the Police Station driving away!

Mina: Are you sure it was him?

Serena: I could spot this guy in the dark.

Lita: Don't worry, Serena. He's never gonna find your house and even if he does, 
we're the Sailor Scouts! We could take this guy easy!

Serena: Say that now...Well I guess you're right. We're supposed to be having 
fun so let's stop worrying about that creep.

(Several hours later, approximately 1:00 AM, the girls are sleeping soundly in 
the living room. Serena is awake and looking out the window. She wakes all the 
others up.)

Raye: What is it, Serena?

Serena: It's that car! The thief! He's driven by the house seventeen times now!

(Mina gets up and walks over to the window.)

Mina: What kind of car did you say he drove, Serena?

Serena: A big white one. This house is on a dead end street, he can't be lost.

Mina: She's right here comes the car.

(Headlights shine through the window.)

Raye: Let me see.

(Lita is nowhere to be found.) 

Amy: Hey, guys...where's Lita?

(The girls look around but can't find her.)

Serena (crazed): He's got her!

Mina: Look...the car stopped across the street....

Raye:...the guy's getting out....

Amy:...he's coming towards the house carrying a box of some sort......

Serena:....it's him.....

(Several slow knocks on the door reverberate through the house...)

Serena (moving toward the door): Get ready......

(Serena flings open the door and there stands the thief.)

Serena: What do you want! Come on, try your luck buddy!

Boy(16-18, a high-pitched nasal voice): Is this 213 East Boulevard?

Serena (more calm): Yeah......what's it to you?

Boy: I have your pizza.

Girls (confused): Pizza?

(Lita comes in from upstairs.)

Lita: Oh, there you are. What took you so long?

Boy: Sorry, ma'am, I couldn't find the place.

Serena: Wait
